I was really far away on the last shot (zoomed to Z99), and only had a 15 ft. XLR cable. I then realized how short 15 feet is. So, I now know I definitely need to pick up a much longer one. I was so far away in an attempt to get more shallow depth of field. I really can't wait until I can scrounge up the money for a 35mm adapter so I don't have to deal with deep depth of field. It's just annoying.

er.... the closer you are to your subject relative to the background, the more shallow the dof should be. If you are far away from your subject, things will look much more flat.

nice jump tho. i wish i could do that.
