some screen grabs that have further impressed me

I was blown away once again by the FS100, I have finally come to a good PP that I am more than happy with, I may have a play around with more saturation and getting a little bit more vibrant, by increasing the color level! but I love it so far!!

All of these are not color corrected and the riding shots are at 50p, 1/2500 and f2 - f8 and the non-riding shots are 25p, 1/60 and f2 - f4.

All shot on Canon FDs, 28mm, 50mm and 70-210mm!

Thanks guys, FDs are definitely a great asset with the FS100, I have bought 2 more since I shot this ON THE WEEKEND.

The PP started off as AB_Range, then I changed the color level from -3 to 0, and have tweaked some of the other settings, I'll post it up soon!

Much anticipated.

The colors still just wow. Crazy good.

Also looks like each shot was shot with highlights in mind.
I assume you shoot and protect highlights and deal with
underexposure in post on certain areas?

I hear often people do this because the camera
is best underexposed.

Just double checking anyway quite excited to see
how the PP acts with my C/Y Zeiss glass.

I do shoot a little underexposed as I also heard it brings out the best detail. All I use is the in-camera zebra's as well.
Im very excited to try the FS100 out on something other than FD lenses, I do love them, but a nice ZF would be awesome.

Please - pretty please with sugar on top - know that the FS100 can (and does) blow the red channel and then some if the chroma is too high. You'll see this around highlights, and on strongly exposed but not blown skin-to-reddish areas. Sort of like a posterised featureless blotch around peak white areas, or areas of high saturation AND luminance lacking any sort of detail whatsoever.

Detail and chroma can be dialled up in post, and it could be said that it's better handled in post. Picture Profiles that use -3 in chroma assume that you'll up the chroma in post once everything's in a 10 bit 4:4:4 colour space.

But the nurse says I must rest now. Please excuse the crayon. ;-)

Good to know.

Thanks for sharing these pictures. And I'm very happy to see that they are made with Canon FD lenses. Perhaps you can help me ? Are these Canon Fd lenses 'beter' than the kid lens ? And are they 'beter' than the other Sony Alpha lenses ?
Thanks or your feedback...

Thanks mate, I am not sure as I have never used Sony Alpha lenses, but for FDs, you really cannot beat the price + picture combo.

Black Level: 0
Gamme: CinemaTone 2

Knee: Point 102.5 / Slope -1
Color Mode: Type Standard / Level 8
Color Level: -2 (I change depending on the situation)
Color Phase: 0
Color Depth: R -7, G -6, B-7, C 0, M -2, Y +5 (sometimes dial them all down to 0)

This for me, is strictly outdoors shooting, I don't use this for indoor shooting, I have and didn't like the results all that much.
