Hello, finally go my ex1 in from B&H today got a few questions to start off.

1. What is the best compression technique getting 1080p onto my PS3

2.What is the best vimeo compression staying under 500mb with a clip approx 4 min long

That is al, I'l get some footage on vimeo as soon as I can!

Request the free Snell and Wilcox MXF Unwrapper, to get the video essence file (native mpeg2). Your clips will play for about a minute on the PS3 until it stutters, the 35 mbps VBR HQ mode is just too high even for the PS3. You'll see what the native stream looks like though. Thereafter, you're going to have to use the NLE of your choice, Vegas, FCP, Avid etc.
 
well did my first little short today, I am 61% on vimeo downloaded. It will take a little longer. Its only 2min long but I am very pleased on what the images turned out to be like, I will be going to the same lake tomorrow morning around 5am to get some early morning stuff.


Cheers on that, I guess Ill keep to the trusty H264 for the PS3 seems to work ok.
