Some questiones about NEX cameras (focus peaking, video quality, Minolta adapter)

I am about to buy a new camera to shoot very low budget documentaries and shorts. I am looking for a replacement for my A55. I love the camera, but I need to shoot some scenes at 50p (I live in Europe, as you guessed).

I have some questions, I hope you can help me because I need to buy the camera soon.

1. Is the 5R better to shoot videos than the Sony A57, which is my second choice? I saw some videos and they seems spectacular, especially when nice lenses are used (I have some old Minolta lenses and the Tamron 17 - 50 2.8). Some people say that the advantage of not having a translucent mirror will generate a better image.
2. I love the focus peaking feature, but is it going to be on while I am shooing clips, on REC mode? I might need it on.
3. Do I have the same crop factor as the A57 (1.86 if I am correct) or do I have the 1.5 crop factor, like on the A55?
4. Do I have to use a movie mode to shoot videos?
5. Some people have encountered some issue when importing 50p clips into FCPX with the A57: the software is not able to recognize 50p clips, so you have to convert them. Do I have to fear the same issue on the 5R?
I worked with a Sony A77 and the software was able to process 50p with no problem, and I was able to slow down the clips with no issue.

These are a lot of questions, I hope you are patient enough to answer me :)

I have a NEX-5N. With this camera:
1. No idea, I haven't used any Sony DSLRs.
2. Yes, focus peaking (yellow dots on high-contrast edges) is on while recording. Extremely useful.
3. the 5N is 1.52x crop factor, both for stills and in movie mode.
4. No, just click the record-some-video button instead of the shoot-a-still button. The only choice you have to make is whether you want to have a 3:2 or 16:9 image on your 16:9 screen (black bars on the sides, or not).
5. No idea, I don't use FCPX.

You can't import the files even if you simply insert the SD card into your Mac while your software is opened?
 
I'll double check once I get home in about an hour or two. I'll edit this post when I have.

EDIT: GOOD NEWS. The files actually DID import into Final Cut Pro X (10.0.4) with the memory card inserted. I can only imagine the 5R will be the same.
