i have a AG-60, 1 x 100a, 2 x 100b
three of them have Individual unusual problem.
there is few time make me pay money back to my client ...
i shoot an opening ceremony with my AG-60, the time code is running when record, but after i bring the tape to edit, i can't get timecode, image and audio, the tape it still remain a blank tape. it only happen few time but not all the time. the service centre hard to check what is wrong even its under warranty. now i keep it for playback use.
100a is the only one better camera, but this model no longer sell in shop. the head is good, record and playback is No.1, sharp LCD, but it appear PSD NG warning, iris ring always problem, please be careful when u have a light or wireless mic receiver mount on the camera doing hand held shoot, the bottom part of tape cover with part hooking the belt will broke due to the additional weight. it happen when i do a oversea documentary shoot at Nepal. and the camera fall into the river. two of my friend having the same model also told me the cover broken, but so lucky their camera is still can be use after fall down.
100b. it cheaper than 100a, the sell guys told me the is color improve. i decide to buy 2, i agree that the color is better. but the main thing is the head is very bad and not professional. the economy crissis, and very light usage because no job on that period, after i have job on this month but the head is trouble with the head warning appear, i try the cleaning tape, but not help, the warning is appear too. MY GOD!!! it just over a week of warranty. 2nd thing is when the shutter on, the color-temp will giving u a color-show warm to cool to warm, it keep changing. my god i found it just after the warranty end, even my friend bought a brand new 100b , the shutter on also have the same problem.
the problem above i had make complain at the service center in malaysia, but the stuff every thing say dunno, and i need to pay what i repair need and usd45 for each item service charge every time i send the unit for trouble check.
the problem will not happen on Sony PD-150
anyone agree that ?
i think will switch to sony soon.
