Hi. I thought I would post some of my work here for critique. Keep in mind I am only 17 years old.

1) This was a project for school. I had to remake a scene from a movie. I chose the famous bullet dodge scene from the matrix:

2) This was my friend's and my entry to the apple insomnia film festival:

2) This was a film I made this past summer. It was the first film I ever shot with the DVX. It is a visual piece I was mainly just experimenting with cinematography. I am very proud of my camerawork in this film 95% of which was handheld if you have time please watch the whole thing or at least to 3:45 :

cheers entity,

as i recognized you gained professionality during the movies. Well, did you do them one by one starting with the first?

The first one i disliked. Seemed to be more of a experiment of what your able to do or not. But still - an enjoyable funny movie.

Second was like a 100% gained skill. You still have to practice BUT your an advanced starter in my opinion. Did you use a DVX for each of the movies?

To provide you with some tips; here is some:

- stay at what you are really able to do ( Effects, Camera-Movement and Props ) and then try to perfection it.

- try to talk more to the actors to get more of a realistic play- like convince your actors to be more authentic.

- use film-look aspects like filters or dov

- indeed think of perspectives ( e.g. what would the audience "now" like to look at )

unfortunately i didn't have time to watch the third one, but i will. ill be reanswering it.

I liked your stuff and you though have potential!!!

cheers and greetings,
Garry
