Some nature clips

I put together a few clips and added some music. I'm very new to FCP so I have no idea what I'm doing, I just dropped in some clips and added tune so it's not a finished product, just practicing as I go. Some same clips were used in both because the music was longer than my time-lapses, ha ha! I don't know anything about upload compressions either so they aren't optimal and in fact look bad full screen. They look okay 720p at standard size viewing. They were shot 1080 30p.

This first one is from some clips I shot last week while on business in the Shasta/Burney/Weed area and spent the mornings/evenings snaggin' some scenes.

The second one is of time-lapses, mostly from Mono Lake but some of Mt. Shasta too.

This last one is just some clips right out of the camera, no music, that I compiled for a stock agency to show them some stuff.

This last one is goofin' around with my boys (ages 4 and 2) as we took their Jeep up to the Sierra last Sunday (the date in the credit is mistakenly in the future, ha!). It's on Vimeo because I couldn't get a hold of George Thorogood and Fleetwood Mac to ask about using parts of their songs. :Þ

Very nice and great music choices.

How did you do your vertical motion shots?
The motion is very steady.

Thanks, Steve. I think just one of the shots has a vertical jib move, if that's what you're referring to (Mossbrae Falls). Most of the movement on these shots are from a Glidetrack either on the ground or my tripod.

Yes. I was guessing a jib. Nice glide track work also.
Very enjoyable and relaxing ... as good as PBS.

I just checked out your site... when I do a serious 'production' or demo reel, maybe we can talk. I just grabbed the music I used quickly off freemusicarchives.org. You have some great stuff.

Thank you, pixelated. I'm just now starting the stock agency route. I just recently learned how to add clips to FCP to get some stuff seen, although that's the extend of my FCP knowledge. I'm focusing on learning the program. I have agencies interested in my work and I'm working with a cable channel on doing a possible wilderness adventure show with them as an independent contractor. I've been shooting a lot the last couple of years but none of the footage has ever gone beyond my own studio monitor.
