Some lighting and cc tests

I did these over the weekend... just trying to work on my lighting and color correction skills. I learned alot doing it... very very short, but thought you'd like to see.

Also did the background music. That's another aspect I'm trying to get better at.

Please let me know what you think.

By the way.... does any one know how to fix that horizontal tearing that occurs in the fast moving scenes?

looks pretty good to me... I'm no lighting epert though but the CC was good.

in your second post it sound like you're refering to interlaced video. your NLE should have a deinterlace tool in it. Do some research on it and you'll catch on.... What setting did you shoot in? 60i, 24p?

The tests look good man. By the way. who is this? Bill moore? Lynn. We had the lot 25 on third street at the old building in Pittsburgh. So what is your identity...?

No no... it's not interlaced footage, it's 24p... It's not interlacing artifacts, I'm talking about the tearing that occurs if you watch the quicktime video, during the fast bg fx scene... maybe it's just my monitor's refresh rate is too low...

Hey Fuller - Yeah, that's a shot of Shannon trying to clean the kitchen. I was bugging her trying to get some test footage. I shot like 60 seconds and then played with everything for about 6 hours... funny how that always works out like that. I did learn a lot doing it though.

That's why I'm practicing... since when was it a horror movie? I thought it was gonna be like suspense-type ghost stuff? Mat and I scouted the locations and got it cleared. We have to get the pre-prod work done ASAP so we can start shooting this baby. One of the real gaurds at the terminal building is this really old man witha limp and an eye patch. We should try to get him to play the dead/ghost security guard. Otherwise, we should do some real casting work and find an actual older person to play that older guard. I assume you will be playing the main character?

well, if that security guard wont participate in our little project. The guy that I work with will do it. He is 50 and his name is Bill. It depends on the age you want you know. And that's what I meant, suspense thriller/ghostly not horror. And I guess ill play the main... unless you want to possibly get another person to play the main then that is fine with me too.

Yeah, I was thinking about 50-ish, what's he look like? You think you can handel the lead role? If so, I'm all for it.
