Some Fresh Eyes for my Purchase Decisions, please?

I am getting ready to make a big gear purchase and need some fresh eyes to help me weigh the options (or possibly confuse me further :p) but my head has been racking back and forth too much the past few days.

I own a canon 60D and just ordered a Canon 5D mark ii

To join them my options are looking like:

a SmallHD DP6 Monitor (w/ all the necessary accessories)

vs

a Zacuto Z Finder
Marshal 5" HDMI monitor (w/ all necessary accessories)

I do not own any Z Finder type viewfinder at the moment nor a monitor, these would be my first purchases for both items, thanks ahead of the time for shedding your opinions here for me

My main focus is Mostly narrative work, both short and feature.

I also do events work, but more commonly I work in the narrative field ... a long with music videos and promos.

I already own a nice Manfrotto 503HDV tripod along with another fluid head set of sticks, 12 nikon lenses, glidecam pro 4000, tascam dr100, sennheiser me66, Ikan FG follow focus cine kit, cage with handles and 12" rods, etc etc -- so I have a decent setup elsewhere and am trying to take the next step.

For what it's worth, if I buy a 5D, which I'm considering doing so soon - also for narrative work - I think I will be going for one of the new EVF's with it over separate monitor + viewfinder. I think I will get better focus easier - and still have a decent view for composition.

Probably go with the SmallHD (Though considering the Zacuto one as well) - Only 1.3 inches smaller than the DP6 your considering - decent mix of both worlds with much improved and flexible ergonomic benefits for shooting that I think will help add value in being creative and more effective shot wise than a monitor or fixed Loupe will give. Also designed to deal well with the 5D's pulldown from all reports.

I was debating on the EVF's out there .. but am worried about the screen size for showing the director/crew and also their availability -- I'd like to have whatever I get by late May at the latest and most of these would be cutting it close to that :/

but thanks for the feed back and they are tempting -- I was looking at the Zacuto EVF Snap so that I could use the Z Finder separately as well if going handheld, but yea the release date and screen size places doubts in my mind at the moment :/
