Iamloser, I think I should do so, it's my first post for grabs and I'm not sure I did it the good way. I have to see if it was progessive or interlace. Thanks
Thanks Disjecta, I'm quit new to movie but i'm a photographer(mostly fashion/portrait) for more than 15 year now, so I think it's certainly a very good base for learning in motion picture.
And I did some correction with the interlace problem. Always learning every single day and DVXuser is so great input for me to help in the learning apprenticeship of motion picture.
All shots were shooted at 24Pnormal (I can't do advance with FCExpress), letter box and filtering (I mostly use B&W filter, KR3 or KR6 for UV) and of course polarized filter (B&W). No color correct until now in the shots. You just have to be an early bird.
black and white filters, eh? looks good. what are they 4x4 lee's that were left over from photography?
which mattebox are you using?
i used to know an early bird once, and i kicked him on the way home from the bar this morning... lol. That's a very good point shadow, time of day, golden hour- things that photographers and film cinematographers know what I'm talking about ;D.
No, Enterdcable, it is not Black & White filter don't misunderstand. B+H filter by Schneider is a mark, a very good one, they are expensive but went you put something in front of your lense, don't cut in quality. I have a lot of photography equipment and all my filter are B+W, so I use all my 72 mm.
The only thing, when I will use my new matte box (Formatt), I will have to buy 4X4 filter and spend $$ again to get good one. May be I can sell some from my photo stock to buy those new one.
Yop ! I use 72 mm screw on plus the Panasonic sun shade tweak with some homemade french flag. But I had order the Formatt matte box from B&H Photo, still waiting to receive it from USPS.
Hey if you're selling any of your 72mm from your photography collection so you can start collecting your 4x4s for your FM 500, let me know!! ;D
I think the KR3 looks beautiful. It makes the color density richer while warming everything without giving it a dirty yellow/strarw hue.
Cheers. btw, I heard that the filters have to be loaded from below unless you get the step up ring and you have to be carefull which stepup ring you use so as not to cause vignetting (that's when the mattebox is cutting frame and you get a nast black line on any edge of the frame..
I need one to, but i'm using a temp cardboard sunshade and I'd rather spend the money getting those screwons for now....
