lol... i think its just such high quality nerdage when grown men battle on thier lawn, fully decked.
Appreciate the links. I honestly don't know why this particular videographer chose the D300s. He doesn't seem to be doing anything creative or artistic with it, and for his purposes, there are probably 10 less-expensive camcorders that could have done a better job.
If you're just going to take straight video footage and not worry overly about exposure or framing or use shallow depth of field, and you're not taking advantage of the filmic look of 24fps, then you're probably not the D300s' target user.
By the way, here's a rare HD (though still youtube unfortunately) clip from a D300s where a human being is filling more than a 12th of the frame.

I have some test shots scheduled on Thurs for a hip hop video. If they turn out ok I'll post a couple on Vimeo, although I am almost at my weekly upload limit.
