Feature Film Question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've seen a few differences in some suggestions... I'm shooting my first feature film this, beginning this weekend. I want to make sure I have all the technical aspects covered. So, I need to know the following... I appreciate any help.

For the best FILM look, do I shoot...

1. 24p Advanced or just plain ol' 24p
2. If I shoot 24p Advanced, what do I set my Properties in VEGAS 5 at... (e.g., 23.976 (IVTC Film) or 24.00 (Film)
3. Width at 720, height at 480?
4. Template NTSC DV 24p Widescreen?
5. Pixel aspect ratio 1.2121 (Widescreen)?
6. Render quality -- best?
7. Motion blur -- Gaussian?
8. Deinterlaced method -- none?

Also, I'm having trouble setting my slow shutter speed... I set it at 6fps in USER 1, but when I try to use it, I keep getting INVALID.

Again, any help is MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Everyone always wants to know the best settings for the "film look". Let me be the first, and not last to tell you that there are no magic "film look" settings. The "film look" has to be achieved through not only good production, but knowing how to adjust the settings for each individual situation. There is no magic end all settings for this. It takes good lighting, good framing, and even good content. This camera can work wonders, but it's nothing if your content has no depth or quality. So I suggest doing a forum search on these topics, and you may find certain suggestions on this. Always search first, ask questions later. And as for your vegas 5 questions, cruise on over to the Vegas forum, or again perform a search, and you should find what you need.
