some basic questions

hey friends,


have a few questions if anybody can help...


first of all... in edius, is there a way to import the video and have the audio automatically come into the program without having to seperately import it? its a bit confusing something when there are a lot of video files to find the right audio one which go with it.


my second question... when i use the camera in all other modes exept 576, the "thin" and "thick" mode is blue and i cant change it. when i go to the 720x576 mode however i can change it. Is there a way to change it in the hd modes also?

It sounds like you are dragging the MXF files into your project -- that's not the way to get your P2 assets into the media bin. Instead, go to the Capture menu and choose P2 Select, then browse to the card(s) or folder that contain your CONTENTS directory.

P2 Select will add the clips and metadata to your media bin, and let you work with the clips immediately while it handles the transfer from the source location in the background. Once the files have been copied, it will update the bin to point to the file's new location.
