SOLVED: Audio problem - HELP!

Yes, that will work. You will need appropriate adapters (mostly included with the Radio Shack gadget)

I think it will work fine as-is. The male plugs will connect to the female "Record Out" jacks on the mixer. Then the male plugs on the cable that currently connects to those jacks will connect to the female jacks on the isolator. Should be no problem.

I'll let you know what happens when I get the isolator and get it installed. Thanks again Richard!

Well I got the ground loop isolator installed and that seems to have done the trick. Thanks again to everyone for all your help!

Jumping in a little late, but I keep several of THESE in my kit. They are life-savers, especially when working in large, industrial buildings with noriously dirty power.

Our convention center is one of those buildings, and I use these on live sound for an annual event I mix with great results. The Hum X isolates and filters the ground while maintaining its integrity, and isolating ground loop from the power supply is a quick way to eliminate it from the audio signal chain.

Isn't it interesting how much kit we carry that is just for fixing problems in other peoples systems...

I also cary a heavy bag full of adapters of all sorts, matching transformers, attenuators, etc.
