FS7: Solo shooter/director question

I shoot solo (mostly verite) docs which I direct as well. So my job is to communicate with people as I shoot. With a few exceptions I find the camera to be a barrier to interacting with subjects (the exceptions being performers/media savvy talent), so I try to keep eye contact and the camera away from my face.

So, I usually shoot with my FS5 held like a football on my upper chest, which generally works because I'm tall (6' 2") and with most people I'm shooting that angle looks "normal".

My question is do any of you solo shoot/direct with the FS7? I was considering picking up a used one at some point and was wondering how those of you who shoot on your shoulder with one eye in the EVF find interacting with subjects?

Thanks

I do. I put the camera on a tripod sit beside it (head next to camera). 4K for zooming panning etc in HD. F16 (or autofocus) ask your questions and done. Check the clisp and ready.

I don't use the fs7 on shoulder, always tripod. I can see the viewfinder (with peaking) all the time.

Works most of the time.
