GH3 Solitude - A Quick GH3 Timelapse Test

Stephen Mick

Totally Usable
At the moment I'm spending a few days in the mountains, and I figured it'd be a good time to test out the GH3, specifically the timelapse function. Here's a little video that combines a couple of quick GH3 timelapse clips with some GoPro footage (shot just for fun), and processed with FilmConvert (for no other reason than because I like it).

The timelapses were shot with a 1" shutter speed, one frame every two or three seconds, using the electronic shutter. I used my Leica 28-90mm lens on the GH3 with a Novoflex adapter. RAW GH3 stills were processed in AfterEffects to generate a full-resolution ProRes file, which was brought into Premiere for editing.

The GH3 timelapses were shot at one frame every two or three seconds. The GoPro stuff is 60FPS (1080) or 120FPS (720) dropped into a 23.98 sequence in Premiere.
