Hey guys, anyone has that system and knows how to set it up? I got to be honest, Im not that dumb and this thing looks like its impossible to set up. How on earth do you put that thing in the camera base???
It's not all that difficult, we shot a how-to video last week that will demonstrate how it goes together.
Basics:
1. Install the PL Mount
2. Install the baseplate with the adjustment jacks recessed a little.
3. Turn the support jacks until they meet the mount, then give it another 1/8 turn.
4. tighten the the set screws onto the support jacks to lock them in position.
5. Insert the (2) 1/4" screws through the jacks and tighten them down.
6. Shoot.
This is somewhat simplified. Keep in mind that the goal is to mechanically tie the PL mount to the baseplate so that camera does not have to support any forces generated by putting a heavy lens on. As always, call us or send an email. We are a small company and eager to help.
