Solid Camera EVF mount

We should be done with the 15mm iris rod mount this week. It will add a ton of versatility for sure.

Hey Mitch, I have to wait a little longer to get paid. I would buy from you guys but I have had so much trouble with your password system in the past I just have given up. I cannot log in and every time I reset the password it still does not allow me to log in. No idea what is going on there.

Here's what Carlos sent me on the 15mm rod mount. Looks great

Please email me directly whenever you need something and I will personally make sure it gets addressed.

Carlos,

the item just arrived, but only the tension knob placed at rotation lock can be used to adjust. the second tension knob does not move. Is this proper right or something wrong.

I really like what I see, however I wonder, is there any chance of getting an extension to be able to use with an eyepiece leveler?

yes and no

the 2 blue knobs work fine.

the 1. black know near mounting to berkey plate works fine, can be turned to fix the adustment.
the 2. black knob near EVF cannot be turned and cannot be used to adust the tension. This means for example if you open the loop the EVF turns downward so that it cannot be used becouse of its turning.

is there a mistake or proper constructed.

thanks for help

Mine was stuck at the "loose" position at first. Just observe which end of the travel it is stuck at, and give it a soild turn in the opposite direction- that will get it to tighten the bracket properly.

Can you turn the black knob clockwise?
It may be tightened counter clockwise and there fore not serving as a lock

thanks Carlos,
problem is solved.
indeed, the black knob was tightened left very heavily, so that it was impossible to turn normal by hand. After yr info i used maximum hand strengh/force and .... the knob moved. Now works fine.
Thanks for the very good item and yr help.

But of course.....sorry the knob was stuck when you got it. I will blame the world economy, my political foes, and my dog ;-)
happy to hear all is well.

Just got my Solid Camera EVF mount. Really nice piece of kit. Will be using it tomorrow on a shoot. Hopefully I will have this for years to come with many different cameras. I'm a bit concerned if shooting in dusty environments if dust will get stuck in the dampening grease at the joints. Wish the thing came with instructions though...for this price I'd expect some. Took me a while to figure out.

Big thanks to Mitch and Christy at Abel Cine who were great!
