Soft Focus Effect and DVX settings

Hello there. I'm currently trying to make a film and I want to really bring the colours out and use a soft focus effect.

So my questions are.

1. What is the best way to achieve a soft focus effect? Filters? Post prod?

2. What would be the best settings to use on the DVX to really bring out bright strong colours for a soft focus effect?

I've tried to find a few examples on you tube of soft focus films but cant really find any....i've also tried to think about any films with bright strong colours with soft focus effect but i cant think of any.....so if anyone can think of any then please let me know and i'll have a look.

IMO the best thing to do would be to shoot using Cine-like V then in post add diffusion to your liking.

You could do it the old way - put pantyhose over the lens - old star trek series whenever a close up on women - that is how they did those shots. Or you could buy a filter. I prefer Cokin.
