Sock Loupe for AF100. Any good?

Desperately need a loupe for the AF's LCD screen. Had a shoot last week in bright sunshine and it was a nightmare. The only 2 options appear to be the Hoodman loupe with EX kit or a sock loupe (http://www.sock-loupe.com/).

The Hoodman kit is expensive and apparently too heavy for the LCD hinge. The sock loupe is $80 shipped but looks a little crude.

Will I be disappointed if I buy one?

Tried one years ago, but can't remember with which camera. Found it a PIA to use.

Get an EVF instead.

I've shot numerous times in bright sunlight and the VF works just fine. I also use a Cinetactics hood on the LCD.

Any thoughts on the Cineroid EVF?
