Sock it To Me

This was a short film we shot last week for the Delray Beach Film Festival "Script to Reel" Contest. We were given a script and we had to shoot it in a few days using our own style.

It was shot on my HMC150 with an SGBlade Adapter and Nikon Lenses

this was a pretty funny idea.

I liked a lot of the shots except just a few.

But my main thing was-
Why such little coverage on most of the conversations? Also, the intro was kinda weird.. It kinda seemed like you were trying to put faces to the names with the video, but it turned out to be the reaction shots of the people at the end. which kinda seemed a little pointless, if you ask me. But to each his own. thanks for sharing.

the reason we did that was we had to showcase delray beach as a requirment....the the names to the faces is the actual people. Like I was the "dancing idiot"...they werent just random faces. I also chose little coverage as a style choice. I didn't think it was necessary to provide other angles to the conversation also my directed didn't want any.

We had other shots my editor could have used but it had to be edited in about 5-6hours

Thanks :D

the thing is the script we were given was 17 pages, and full of boring bs =/ we had to change a lot. my Director/Writer had to cut it down to a doable 10min however I do think he cut out a little too much and I would have liked to see more dialogue but oh well, as cinematographer I didn't care to to much, in the end it worked out.
