...when a 17 year old high school senior with no money for anything asks you to please shoot her senior project? Well, you say yes of course! Of course, shooting 32 pages in three and a half days wasn't exactly what I was hoping for...but hey. So here is a little show reel. Beware VampireSoup - moving mouths with no dialogue!
Sorry - a more comprehensive story trailer should follow, but not from me. Shot with the DVX100A - an Arrikit and a whole lot of love. It is called "Compatibility" and is about the nature of sexuality and sexual identity in teenagers.....give a lookey.

are you also a high schooler? or are you just helping out a high schooler?

I like the look. Can't say much more because all i got was something to look at, but i cant wait to see some more from this.

What's the song used?

EDIT: Just saw some of the other videos on your page, and i really like your shooting style. You get some very nice looking images.

In that first shot of the boy outside talking to the girl, are you reflecting light onto his face or using a light on both sides? What type of reflector are you using? It's nice and bright.

Wow, looks really good for a 30 minute short in 3 days. What arri kit do you use?

sorry! No behind the scenes shots as I was killing myself and everyone around me to get the pages done. It's okay, gotta throw people into the fire sometime. If you want to see behind the scenes for lighting purposes - you can send me a message and we can talk. I experimented alot with underlighting and overhead low bounces, and book lights for big eye-lights and wrap around key lights.....

It is awesome of you, that you could get in some kid's project, just for the heck of it. Your work is very good, and this kid is probably in heaven watching the material. I guess true filmakers are about that. Making films, period.

Congrats!
