I've ordered Avid Xpress Pro HD and everyone I've talked to has scared the crap outta me! LOL

They all tell me the same thing...

"Hope you ordered a tutorial set."

So, does anyone have any experience with it? Is it really that hard to figure out?

Can you recommend a tutorial or have a used one?

Oh, and I've edited for a few years now and am sick of the limitations of Pinnacle Studio, oh and I've screwed around with Vegas before. Am I in for such a rude awakening with Avid?

If you know how to edit (and you know what is a maker), its easy to jump to a software to an another. It's the same case for Avid. The interface is very similar to Adobe Premiere or Final Cut, but Avid have their own philosophy about the file handling, the overwrite / splice-in mode and I think you should be able to discover those features very fast.

About the tutorial, you can read the tutorial from Avid Free DV. They explain hoiw the software works and it the same tutorial for Xpress (but the Free DV have more, and more limitation)
