So nobody wants PAID work???

I posted a listing in the Jobs section needing 2 shooters with gear for an upcoming live event in late August. It's a PAID job, and I asked those interested to send me their info along with their day rate.

So far 101 people have viewed that post......and there has been ZERO response.

What's up with that??? Do people just not want paid work???

Well the subject line clearly stated "Charlotte, NC" so I wouldn't expect anyone not in the area to even read the posting. Maybe I'm wrong.

DVXUsers don't have HD camcorders? Say it ain't so! :)

I still have my HPX-170. It's such a workhorse, and even though the IQ doesn't quite stand up to my GH2, it's still a joy to use.

Hey, I will always check in...if there's even a chance someone thinks flying me in is a good idea, I will take it! :beer:
 
I also think some people are just curious what people are looking for knowing they couldn't do it anyway. I don't know if that makes sense. I go on CL crew in LA and sometimes I'll click on a DP ad just because I am curious what the project may be about. Never know what you will stumble across. Glad you were able to find the people you needed. I never clicked on your original ad but this one got me curious.

I didn't see the post but I rarely check in the job postings cause I usually don't see anything for NC. I live in NC and would have been interested, but if you need anything else I"m always looking for work or experience.

I'm in Tennessee, and I read the post - because, you never know. If it had been enough work, it might have been worth figuring out the travel, and I do have friends in the Carolina's I wish I had an excuse to visit...

But ultimately, when I read the ad, I didn't figure I would be a good fit given the logistics, so I didn't waste your time responding.

People out of area are frequently likely to read the work posts just because they're curious, and because "you never know." At least dvxuser isn't craigslist, where you get 100 unqualified people who *DO* respond.
