for trespassing. I was climbing an abondoned building so I could take some pictures, and 4 cop cars and a firetruck came to arrest me and my two friends. Plus, I had some cigarettes on me, so Im getting a ****ing tobacco ticket and I have to go to court in 4-6 weeks.

Laws blow

How old are you and where do you live? Are you not allowed to have cigarettes on you?

By the way, that does suck. I'm guessing you didn't get your pictures?

I'm 16. I got the pictures, and I'll be assembling them tommorrow. I'll post them here when they're done!

That means you are either underage or live in an area completely corupted by those that hate freedom. BTW, what kind of building requires response of 4 cop cars and a firetruck?

(EDIT) ah, underage.

I got a ticket for a California (rolling) stop, and it cost me $157 dollars. Which has started me smoking again. Luckily, I'm well over the age...

Those pictures are gonna make for a great conversation piece one day... as the story evolves...

next time run and don't stop until they catch you. It's not likely they'll shoot at you and if the cops are any thing like the cops in toronto, they're too fat to catch you.

I hate police. I'm 31 and I've had ONE and only one positive experience dealing with pigs.

Morons.

Good luck in court. Dress nice and call the judge sir. Think of it as a game and play to win.

...except for the fact he was on top of a building. Perhaps run in circles? :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

This story is incredible! I love US and sometimes I'm saying that unfortunately I'm an european fellow but when I'm hearing this kind of stories...well, I'm proud of my motherland and to have my freedom when I am in Europe -- I mean EU.

Sorry guys but this is too surreal to an european sensibility. You have the free guns besides the free speech as ourselves. We don't have guns in any way other than as our army or police have. But we have freedom to smoke under 16 and to take pictures in forbidden places in order to NOT to meet a police task force and a judge. BTW, besides my BFA in filmmaking, I have a law degree too. I'd invite you Nik to invite the judge to read this post but it's better to say instead...your parents...and that's all!

My goodness, where are we?!... In Mars?... Let me guess, you are a martian citizen after Mars had been invaded by a UN task force and you don't want to admit?...

Be cool! This is a good story for your grandchildren when this planet will be a nicer land to take pictures. One advice: don't smoke! (and I can tell you that I was a smoker when I had your age, not now...but I didn't need to be arrested or to face a judge to know that. Instead I knew some gorgeous female judges and I'm alive! They were smokers but, well, I cannot tell you how I found that...)

hehe ye that is funny 4 cop cars and firecar.... you were cheap

i try to imagine the same situation in EU: a walking policeman: What the ... ... are you doing there??? Come down, or I'll be angry :D

Wow, we have quite a few cop haters here. You guys would've loved my old job. When I was a Tae Kwon Do instructor, I used to teach a lot of cops. Imagine that... they paid me to kick them in the face.

Come down from there young man, or I will be forced to lodge a formal complaint with the UN, said complaint will then be tabled in several subcommittees and then possibly come up for discussion during the year end review. Then a strongly worded letter might be written, that is if that’s ok with you of course, we wouldn’t want to make you feel like were actually accusing you of anything. In fact just forget the whole thing ever happened.

I had that happen to me one time. I was filming a video in an abandoned building and we were on top of the building. While we were up there we see this flashlight shine up there and we hear a voice "Hey, hey come here!" so i walk over to the edge and i see an older cop and he yells "DUDE, thats freaking awesome! How did you guys get up there?!?!" I just started laughing cause i had the whole thing on tape.

I love hearing a bunch of kid's yammer on how they hate cops and the law suck's yet they have'nt even moved out of mommies house.

The deal with cop's is 'No one like's a cop, until they need one' and that's just the way it is and always has been.

I suspect you knew you were tresspassing so why get bent about getting caught on private property ?

Cigarettes ? I'm an ex-smoker coming up on June 10th a year smoke free (21 year old habit). They should definately have tobacco laws cause most kids are too dumb too make the decision not too smoke anyways (I can't believe I ever smoked 12 months later being smoke free).

Emanuel ? What are you talking about ? So, are you proud of the motherland of Spain or the European Uniion ?

You're 31 and you make comments like this?

Just like any proffession, there are going to be good and bad people involved. It just so happens that cops aren't usually involved unless it's a bad situation. So usually the experience isn't going to be that good. Calling them all pigs and morons is pretty ignorant.

People say "I hate cops." How many of them wish we didn't have any?

And Nick-You shouldn't be smoking anyways.
