So now doubt many of us are off to Christmas gatherings....and there is a need to capture the moment in at least some form...especially when children running around is involved....

How do you capture Christmas?

Full DSLR rig...

nano running man...Glidecam 4000...tripods....H4n audio recording...etc. etc..

or do just pull out the point and click and say 'simple is best'?!

Just curious....

PS Happy Christmas! (Christmas Eve approaches here downunder!)

I brought everything along with my GH2 (steadycam, tripod, glidetrack...etc) but ended up only using the cam handheld.
People noticed me less that way....which makes for better movies if you ask me.

ok, now back to booze!

Cheers mate

Thanks mate...

one of the nice things about a DSLR is the small footprint...sometimes all the rigs just get in the way!

Have a great new year!

Yeah, I'd even just go hand held. I had to do that with my D7000. Any brace or rig would have just gotten in the way. Besides, it only makes you a better filmmaker and having a steady hand.
