So, getting ready to edit the new acting reel.....

And now I am looking for new music. Preferably an indie band, fast paced. If anyone knows a band or has a band for an action acting reel........hit me up and lets talk. It will be handed out on DVD, and hosted on Youtube and various acting forums.

Visually, the old one is okay, but hate the music. Plus I got a ton new footie to use.

This is what I had:

It was "different" from any other reel I viewed. Which was good and bad, at the same time. Plus I did it myself. Which meant I was not objective enough. I may have an editor ready to step up to help me, in trade for my weapons service for his project.

I really liked the rock music from Rogan's cousin. Here is a link, "Truck Stop Special" Rogan provided on his Villain Fest thread. It's not the same song as was on his entry, but it will show you their voice and style. His cousin's band name is Anti-Mortem.

Why don't you have one of the many talented composers here on DVXUser score it for you?
(I hear Alex plays a mean Uku)

Zaza, that's what I was thinkin'. But currently doing some listening over at Reverb-something or other. I am an opposite kind of guy. I like to take music and edit the video to it. LOL, guess that shows my "audio engineer" side.

Will do Charli!!!!! I think I have heard of Anti-Mortem, actually.

EDIT: Holy crap, Charli! I like these guys! "Stagnant Water" is the one I would want to use. Must find Rogan........

I'll take a look, Alex. But I am really touchy about "rights". I would need to get in contact with the bands to secure those rights so I can use their music. Just buying a song does not give me distro/dupe rights, as you know.

Correct, but the licensing through Creative Commons, on a song-by-song basis, is clearly explained (what you can do, what you cannot do). Same with Vimeo's Music Store. They are designed as royalty-free resources, and some of them charge a small fee. I wouldn't link you to a piracy/free-for-all site, Doc.

Okay, didn't realize they were royalty free. Wow, sweet. Heading there now. (LOL, I knew that you understood that, but it was a good object lesson and couldn't resist making a point about piracy, sorry. You just gave me an excuse to bring it up, LOL). If it wasn't, I figured you were giving me a "lead-in"/segway to talk about that subject.
