So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Sam Raimi has said he doesn't want to have Venom at all!!!

I know, I was as shocked as you...

Can you imagine, Spiderman...comes down in his spiderman costume...like this

Then slowly spins...as his costume turns all black with white eyes!

My friend and I were talking about how Batman with 2 enemies was so bad, so I guess that's why Raimi doesn't want Venom/Symbiote suit and Goblin 2 to be in the same movie...

I'm kinda hoping he just hints on it in 3...Like he has to fight Harry and deal with the alien suit...then 4 will be Venom...

If you listen, they brought up Eddie Brock (Venom) in the first one...

P.S. Damn that was nerdy... ;D

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Here's how it should work.

Act 1- Peter deals with MJ stuff; she has trouble dealing with his double life. Peter comes in contact with the Symbiot. We see Harry training with his father's Green Goblin suit.

Act 2- Peter doesn't notice that the suit is changing him, but MJ does, she wonders if she can be with him. Spider-Man and Green Goblin meet, and have a battle.

Act 3- Spider-Man defeats Green Goblin (hopefully MJ can be kept out of the climactic scene this time.) Spidey will probably kill Harry, and this will make him realize that the suit has changed him. We have the scene at the bell tower where he gets rid of the suit; which at the end finds it's way to Brock. Peter obviously gets MJ back.

Things I would love to see:
A hint of Black Cat, maybe we see her jumping from roof top to roof top, even if just for one shot.

A headline stating that Cletus Kassidy is going to prison.

Quentin Beck calling Spider-Man a phony.

Wilson Fisk running a crime syndicate.

Bruce Campbell back to play another great role.

*Conclude nerdy-ness.

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Great film and worth the hype I had heard all summer long. The action scenes were epic. Anyone catch 'Vintage Raimi' during the hospital room scene?

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Oh man, there were shots in that scene straigh out of Evil Dead 2!

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

totally. i tried explaining to my wife but she was like, huh? and then of course bruce campbell came in and i had to explain that.

she loves watching films with me.

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

;D

If I were married... well I'd probably be divorced due to over explaining movies. ;)

Bruce Campbell as the snooty usher was hilarious.

I'm torn about the train scene; it's not true to the comics, but it's just such a great scene. I didn't like that he lost his mask so much in the movie. It's especially bad for the train scene, they could have done w/o it.

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

really? i thought that was one of the cooler parts (superheros never get revealed); of course im not the spidyholic and dont know the lore.

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Well, it sort of lends itself to the whole "My enemies will come after people in my personal life" thing. I don't know, he seems to reveal his identity to a hell of a lot of people throughout the course of these movies.

Maybe it's just me. I liked it, but at the same time I hated it.

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Damn, I'm away for a little while and this thread picks up!

Hey John that's cool you liked it, I really did! (of course)

But I too liked the train scene, I thought that was amazing. It showed the people on the train that Spiderman was just a kid, and he does all this and has to deal with life, and everything...

Makes Spiderman more real, which is what I really like about Spiderman. He wasn't dark and mysterious (and some rich guy) like Batman. and he wasn't an alien like Superman...
Spiderman was made as a smart ass kid...

Which was done a lot better in 2 by the way, He was always full of comebacks. In the bank was a classic Spidey line! :)

HAH! Take that Shane.

"Here's your change!" Classic. Spider-Man's witty remarks are the staple of the character.

Re: So anybody buy Spiderman 2?

Did anyone else notice that Shane has a B-day cake in his profile because it's his birthday?

Gotta love YaBB.
