I picked it up and a new tripid and was helped out by Josh, Ryan & Tommy (the sales team) . They hooked me up. Make sure you speak with them and tell them SHANNON W. RAWLS sent you. They have over 10 in stock, and are selling them now.

I was the first to get it, and they said most likely the first in the entire state of california to own one, because they are the first to distribute them and the have them early (ofcourse this could all be wrong) Most others wont be shipping until next week.

Thanks bluespider. This setup is actually the small one. You should see my studio. No, i don't produce music, I am strictly a motion picture producer. get the z1! *trust me*

Yummie, bout to join your ranks as one client is buying me a DVX100A for a documentary shoot and another is getting the Z1 for my shooting fee for a straight to vid movie, plus I'm still getting paid to edit it.  Still waiting on the FCPHD codec, but may cop the FCPHD Express for now.  Presently been freaking out a V2K the last 3 years.  Can't wait.

Only difference is the Z1E is setup for Europe with 50i out the box. Z1U is setup for US with 60i out the box. Otherwise, same camera.

I thought that they are both (the z1u and the z1e ) Pal and ntsc altogether do you know if they are playng alike or the u plays better ntsc end the e model plays better pal sistem
I cant figure out the diferences you know the e model is out for almost 1000 bucks more little hevy in the pocket
if you have adicional information I would be greatfull

The Z1 supports four recording formats: PAL, NTSC, HDV 50i, and HDV 60i. All those formats are available on all Z1 cameras. There should be no difference in PAL or NTSC handling whether the camera is a Z1U or a Z1E.
