Snowboarding footage

IMO I think you should get some different shots other than on the knuckle of the landing, next time try at the bottom of the tranny about 50 feet to the riders left, those shots always look good, and some straight on zoom shots aswell

Yeah we got some but I wasn't able to get the other shooters footage before I made the edit. Havent even seen it yet to be honest. Probably would think about making a re-edit but I guess its probably best to move on.

Trollhaugen on the Minnesota/Wisconsin boarder...
that really was TrollHaugen? I thought that place sucked!

Great footage and editing dude. We should get together some time and make a snowboard vid.

Pretty groovy. I don't think the music was energetic as the footage. Some of the footage I thought looked really good and some of it looked kinda boring. Colors/composition/originality-wise

i have to say, that was done like a pro. really awesome stuff. if you added just a bit of color corection that could make it look better. try it out, i might look worse, let me know. the only thing that was noticable was the lighting. whenever you change location you have to white balance, otherwize it will look too bright (or too dark) and orange. wait a minute...i cant remember wheither that was the light filter or the white balance...someone help me help him.

yeah, definately was tough to keep re-white balancing, but then again you could be noticing the difference between the two cameras which unfortunatley were set differently. (one hand doing one thing with out the other knowing kinda thing) Also, for those wondering why some of it was shot 24p if the other camera was 30? My answer really is, why not? I recently purchased the camera and this was one of my first shoots with it. (the GL was my old camera) I really wanted to see how the 24 would handle snowboarding and to my surprise I was actually pleased with the results. If I could have had it my way I would have done the whole thing in 24p, but when stuck with little cash flow, that gets kinda tough. Besides, snowboard films tend to be a mix varaity of footage, often times shot on a variety of cameras. Which unfortunately I feel is a downside but at the same time is somewhat unique. I would have color corrected as well If I would have had more time but I needed to get this project finished as fast as I could and unfortunatley ran out of time to do so. I guess I could go back to do a little CC but really, I should proably just move on. But thanks for the support and tips! They all sound good!

oh yeah, there were also two shots in there that were from sunset the night before... the rest were all sunrise. Would you think that It would be best to try to CC it so they look the same? or keep the difference between the two?
