Heres a little fun using my hvx for the first time. Any tips you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Heres the link incase it doesn't work: HERE Does any one know whey the embedded player won't work?

Fun short. A few thoughts.

It feels like most of it is overcranked, which is fine, except once in a while its nice to see things in real time. I had the same problem when I started shooting surfers.

I overcranked this whole windsurfing competition, and realized I sort of didn't have the patience to see everything move so slow. So yeah, don't be afraid to mess with all of the variable frame-rates.

I don't ski or board, but when I get in the water, I like to be moving while the talent is as well. Maybe there is a safe way for you to shoot on the move and keep it all steady.

And sound. Anyone who has been skating/surfing/boarding/whatevering knows that the sound is half the experience. So next time, up the ante by doing your best sound mix with the edit.

A great start. Can't wait to see what you add to the next one.
 
Thanks man. I know I got a little carried away with the slow mo but it was my first time shooting and i was just havin some fun. I'm starting to shoot more 30p now. Thanks for the tips.

The embed code comes up when you click on the embed icon in Vimeo and it appears that if you copy it you can embed it on a website. There is a warning, however that says "the owner has placed some domain restrictions on this video so it may not embed on all sites". You may want to check your vimeo settings applied to this video.
