hey guys,

Jan29 marks the first snow for us NC people (some parts). I was so excited to be shooting in the snow for the first time with my dvx100a. Just thought i'd share it with you guys. I used high-speed shutter for most of the shots (1/250)

The shutter speed looks great in the snow. I liked especially when you had the snow falling 'Up'. Nicely done! More more more!

nice stuff man! You must be in the west ,for in Raleigh, we didn't get much this past weekend.. Looks great! Did you MB those shots?

Wow. looks really nice. What kind of color correction/MB did you use? Also, did you use a raincover or something?

Hey thanks im glad u guys like it. I live just outside of charlotte. We had a good bit of snow here til it all melted away.... Raincover, yes! I finally got it use it. The brand name is Kata, about 80 bucks im sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere. I bought mine from BHphoto.com. I use magic bullet editor for the footage. the filter was "berlin"

Looks great man. I'm in Charlotte, but I never got a chance to go out and shoot anything. Wanted to shoot some ice shots though.

Anyway, nice job w/ these.

Hey brother stuff looks great! Am I to understand you are in Denver, NC? No way! I live in Charlotte, north side I'm like 40 minutes from you! I too was shooting the snow though this is the second year I got to do so with my DVX. We might have to get togethere, talk a little shop... drop me a line brother. In the meantime keep shootin.

wow. nice footage..

but I did a double take.... the guy with the toque.. wearing the black jacket standing in the snow looks remarkably like myself..

wow.. that freaked me out for a second... I was like "how did I get there!?!" then reality set in...

;)

Shutter speed was at 1/250, I had it up to 1/1000 i think and there was still enough light. it seem a bit jittery, so i kept it at 1/250. Settings... was factory. I haven't really customize anything since I'm still a newbie. still looks good though. scene file was f6 24PA. iris was at auto-then manual. Magic bullet helped alot, i love that program. ...i love that program..... its my secret :P

yea wow! you did it again with that nice emotional warmth!! i really loved this one, keep it up....

the shutter speed was cool and i always wondered what snow would look like with the DVX...REAL snow, not computer generated snow (you will see what I mean soon)...haha the real thing is much much cooler. thanks for sharing bro

about the kata, I didn't really have a problem with it, except I couldn't see the lcd cleary through the plastic. So i used the viewfinder.I had a hard time adjusting, keeping one eye close to see what the details were, especially when you're trying to find the depth of field. Overall, it turn out alright. I have yet to test the rain cover in the rain. I'm almost scare to, because if you notice there is a hole on top of the cover,... I have yet to determine its purpose. I'm sure its no big deal. If anything has use this kata rain cover in the rain, post pls!
