Well I've just about taken the camera everywhere now... starting to feel comfortable with the look and feel of the unit...

Will be shooting interviews over the next 2 weeks...

Hey Les, looks good as always. Just curious if you used the DRS function when shooting this? I see a few areas in your footage where the dynamic range was obviously quite wide - little bit of blooming - and wondered if you used that feature? LOVE the low-angle river shots, by the way!

I've turned OFF the DRS function although my scene file still has it set to 1... on my first test with the kangaroos I had it ON but saw allot of noise in the shadows...

The footage is ungraded.. as the camera saw it.. I shoot for the shadows so my footage tends to be a bit thin... I find it easy to bring down the whites in FCP rather than trying to lift a shot... so I'll let the highlights blow out...

Yeah there's always something nice about taking the camera off sticks and getting down low.. would be nice to have a wider angle though...

PS.. the red in the snow was from dust storms that covered eastern Oz...

Sorry just lazy I guess... HD files are much larger and just need to show a few shots to the Oz Alpine Waterkeeper... there is a fair bit of compression noise etc but was mindful of client downloads..
