SHORT: Snooze (2009)

Hi,

Wanted to share a film I made last year -- I've finally made it "public", as I'm finishing up production on a new short that'll hopefully be finished in early fall. This one's a romantic comedy (of sorts), shot on a Canon HV20 and edited in Premiere Pro.

I really enjoyed the story. It was a really cute idea that played out well. Good pacing and the ending was good.

Overall the production quality was decent. I think you needed to do some white balancing in the library but perhaps you wanted a more yellow look. Also something that bothered me a bit was when the guy was waking him and and the girl in his dreams was lip-syncing "hey", the syncing was off.

The biggest problem you had though was definitely the acting, especially the female. The look on her face was always a bit creepy and too forced. It was especially troublesome in the end when the red-head sits down on the bench, the female character looked like she was about to rip off his clothes, which definitely did not go with the vibe of the rest of the film.

Overall though I enjoyed it. I really dig the thought process.
 
That was pretty cool I thought. I like how you used one of those "night terror" depictions to smash the alarm clock, very fitting :smile:

The morale of the story that I got is "you snooze, you lose." And you did a good job getting that across
