regardless, i see what you were trying to do with the commercial, but the editing is kind of shotty and the audio goes up and down especially at the end. jumps out at you.

thanks for the good words. by "shotty" you mean "Shitty" ? lol and the audio at the end is supposed to sound like its playing out of the car

Why would you use 2 different camera? You can clearly tell and it is very distracting.

Ok heres the big question. What camera is the HPX-170, and which is the 7D?
If you get it right, i will delete this post so you never have to watch this video again.

well no, if it was "sh*tty" i probably wouldve just not said anything, lol. by shotty i mean almost like some minor things that stand out were overlooked, things that you could probably fix in post.

like at 1:13 when the guy reaches in his pocket the CU shot of his hand going in all of a sudden the ambient audio is gone then it is abruptly back again in the next shot.

the color changes once he "changes" into mr. cool, but i realized just now that you did that intentionally. it looked like a mistake at first, almost as if maybe it should have been more of a drastic change in color temperature.

some of the camera angles looked awkward for some reason i don't know what it is. seemed like all close ups, like you're right in this guy's face the whole time.

as far as the audio sounding like it's coming from the car, maybe the abrupt transition from outside to inside the car is what made me think it was off. then again, if you have to explain it then you may want to rethink your technique on how to get the same effect.

i got all that from just looking at it once yesterday and again today. just my opinion. take what you can use from it and ignore the rest.

First shot is 7D, Second is Hpx, Third I believe is 7d again, fourth when he is walking in is hard but I'll go with 7d again, Walking out is hpx, the wide of reaching for the snickers is 7d, but the medium close is hpx etc... you get point. It is very distracting.

I noticed the terrible ambience sounds only after if was compressed...:/ And you are right about the Color changing when he opens the snickers...a couple of my mates didn't realize it was intentional either... i appreciate the input:)

Wow you really out did yourself mate...but the only 7D shot is the close up of him taking the bite out of the candy bar...everything else is the 170.

I bet it would have been a little less distracting if you didn't announce what camera it was shot on. I would have left that for the Q&A's. That way folks would focus more on the piece itself. I think folks just go into it looking for trouble without taking the chance to first enjoy the work of art. Just my oipinion.

By the way,....you sure that it was only the closeup? It looks like the white balance changed as soon as he ripped the Snickers apart (when he still had the suit jacket on).

I wish that happened to me when I ate a Snicker.... Nice ride.

yow jones...i was able to look past the technicalities and i was laughing all the way through. the corny music...the nerdy look on his face..the 80's jeans jacket with no shirt underneath lolol

yeh there are techical flaws but it didnt make me not enjoy it. if i sat down and picked it apart then maybe...

i could have done without the last shot though. it was fine without it.

I thought the color balance could have been done better, which sort of echos the notion of pay attention to details. Especially noticed it at the beginning and when he drove the Ferrarri. Seemed like it could have been shot on just about any camera. I suppose I could assume it's supposed to be that way, but it didn't look like it to me.

Five stars for concept, funny idea. And heck, I like Snickers! But if you didn't intend to get that color balance, I'd not use it as demo reel without tweaking it a bit more.

I liked the overall look. Would just echo others in saying you should pay attention to small details. The audio here specifically is kind of distracting as sometimes there is clearly ambient noise and other times there is not.

Still though great job. Keep up the good work.
