I've had a cursor hovering over the "buy now" button on the helix jr. for a while now... how's your experience with it thus far? Results look good...
 
It's excellent once dialed in. I had to tweak the tilt motor specifically to reduce the bounce from walking. I really like the JR and I am using it on a lot of projects.

Looka great. If you get a chance, I would love to hear more detail about how you got your Helix dialed in with the Gh4. I have both of these and have gotten very close. Would love to compare what you did to get it "right" in the settings. As to the Helix, the hardware design is the perfect mix for me. Small, light, portable, sits on the base (no stand) solid and well built (I don't feel like I could break it easily) Honestly I don't thing there is any comparison to the others in regard to design. The only weakness right now is the programming side and presets. It takes a little more love and patience to get it in. I think once the software matures and a few more people get it dialed in we will be seeing some great stuff coming out of it. I hope it takes off both because it is a top notch design and because it will guarantee further development. :)
 
Here are the settings I use. a little more power in pan and tilt, higher d setting. Two lenses I typically use are the 12-35mm and 11-16 tokina with SpeedBooster.

Thanks SoarProd for the screen shot. I'll try these and see how they work. I use both the 12-35 which seems to be the perfect one with the Helix and Gh4, but also use a canon 24-70 with speedbooster or Voigtlander 17.5 lens depending on the shot. That is one of the great things about the Helix design is ability to change lenses without major changes to balance or settings. Just make a few minor fore/aft adjustments and keep going normally.
