Snakes on a Plane Trailer

Right...I have been hearing about the movie for months, but only saw a trailer just today for the first time.

I wasn't sure if the official trailer itself was "old news" or not.
 
It was new news to me, I hadn't seen it yet. I still haven't seen it because I am at work and can't download the video :(
 
That's not the official trailer. That's just some incomplete footage, roughly put together by someone. The CG snakes are not even textured.

When the "real" trailer is released, in about a month, we'll all know about it. But for now this will have to hold us over.

Wasn't it Samuel jackson that said, "There's mutha f*ckin snakes on the mutha F*ckin plane..." that made this thing so popular? And... why? Are people just asking for just off the wall sillyness?

I suppose it is good to just have something to really scare the crap out of ya. People are terrofied of flying and to top it off with creepy things like snakes.. Yep. recipe for disaster! But... alas.. everyone will have a guilty pleasure of go watching it.

I think its a marketing experiment on people. Little money on promotion and just hired hundreds of 'forumites' like ourselves to simply post it everywhere and hope it spreads like wildfire. Then... To see the press eat it up and bring in even more people to the theatres just to see what this damn movie is about.

Count me in on jumping onto the bandwagon. I'll go see it.
