Snakes on a Plane This Friday

just got back from seeing Snakes On A Plane.

I went into it thinking it was going to be this really bad movie done for the fun of it. Boy was I wrong. It was actually really good. Sam Jackson was great and I can honestly say that the movie scared the ****ing **** out of me. I usually never jump or get scared in movies but this totally changed it. That big boa or whatever that came out of the light fixture....... damn. And that guy who was going to the bathroom.... that scene made every guy in the theater cringe...

All in all it was a really good horror/comedy. I'd give it 3 stars outta 5. Some bad FX shots and I didn't like Kenan Thompson in it.... that almost ruined it for me. Go see it!

I just got back as well, I honestly had no idea what to expect from this movie, but man,I have to say I'm glad I went. Overall it was just a great time, there were hilarious parts, and actually some kinda scary ones as well. I thought the guy that is like "main" guy or whatever was such a bad actor it was funny. You should go see it just for a great laugh, it was worth it.

And yeah, speaking of kenan thompson...does anyone know what ever happened to kel?

just came back from it and have to say they tried to make it serious but just didn't happen.. was one of the worst films i've seen but lots of parts there were where you would just be laughing so hard because its so stupid. Good job Samuel L. Jackson on saying, " I've had it with these mother f'ing snakes on this mother f'ing plane!"

This movie is hands down the best film of the summer.

Seriously. Most entertaining flick, wasn't horribly cheesy...

Some movies are B movies and try and avoid the fact. Snakes embraces it and it flies high at 30,000 feet or whatever the **** planes fly at.

This movie was AMAZING.

I'm flying out to Jersey on Monday and people at work cant believe I want to go see this RIGHT before I am leaving. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) I would have gone today but had to work too late. Its on, tomorrow, though!!!!

i don't get these "so bad they're good" movies. Where I come from, when a movie's bad, it's bad.

Pretty simple, right?

I will never see this stupid-ass movie.

Then i feel bad for your inability to just have fun with a silly film.

This was the most fun i've had watching a movie in years. The crowd involvement makes this a blast.

don't worry, you don't have to feel bad for me. I enjoy watching films like Happy Gilmore and Dumb & Dumber for my "silly enjoyment" fix. Snakes On A Plane? Chris Not At A Multiplex.

Our local reviewer said it was the most fun he's had since he quit going to midnight showings of Rocky Horror. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I've been trying to see this since Friday.... will have to wait until mid-week. Hopefully, crowds will stay hyped about this for a while.

They didnt try to make it serious. It was like "Army of Darkness". Even the blood and gore was funny. That dude throws the dog at the snake... I must have pissed some viewers off I was laughing so hard. Jackson asks for some silverware as a weapon and she breaks out a plastic sfork. You must be in the right mood, and with a group to see it.

wtf

my roomates all went to see this movie b/c they too thought it was going to be awesome.

they came back and said it was prolly the worst movie they have ever seen. There was 4 of them and they said they were the only 4 people in the entire theatre. they haven't stopped making fun of it since

Wow, what an incredibly boring movie. I was so shocked at just how uninspired this was. This after I waited for all the ridiculous hype to die down. Here was a movie that could've been so fun and the script was boring, the direction was so labored, Samuel Jackson literally looked like he was bored out of his mind (I have no sympathy for him as I recently found out he committed to this movie on the TITLE ALONE. He didn't even read the script. Makes for a good story but in theory, if you commit to a project without reading the script, you deserve it when the script sucks).

Also, the director is the same director who directed, what I beilive to be, the best action sequence in the last 10 years - the beginning sequence in Final Destination 2 (if you haven't seen it - go watch it).

I was so ready to have fun and this just bored me to tears.

got it on dvd today... the making of's and the documentary on the snakes is pretty cool. plus the music video, and the film.... i bought it A) to piss off my mom who hates flying AND snakes (she said the film is the scariest ever made for those 2 reasons) and B) to show my friends and family the film.... i honestly enjoyed it because it wasnt meant to be the greatest thing ever... it was meant to be hokey.

I ****ed up. I should've seen this in a packed theater at a midnight showing. That's where it belongs. I got through watching the DVD and LMAO. I know it wasn't a comedy and that I was laughing at the wrong places, but that's the kind of movie it is. Pretty bad across the board. But I can see where it would have been a lot of fun at a packed midnight showing. I can see this being one of those movies that is so bad it is good.

Oh, well, watching The Illusionist later tonight and I have higher hopes for it.
