Smooth Aperture change with FD lenses

I have used the following Canon FD /m43 adapter with the AD 100. Using the lock /open ring on the adapter it is possible to change the aperture smoothly from the minimum to maximum.

yep, i have a similar adapter and works great like that. how sturdy is yours? does it have a hard lock in and out for the aperature and how tight is the control? mine is fairly good but not perfect

The control feels like a damped aperture ring of a cine lens and smooth. Only snag is distance between the min and max is around 20 mm s. Not a big problem.
