SmallHD DP6 / FS100 combo

I am very happy with mine. The color enhanced exposure view is a real bonus. Almost as good as a histogram, in fact, in some respects, it's better.

How do you guys find it performs when it comes to checking focus without having to use peaking? Over exposed areas without using zebras?

Between the focus assist+ and the 1:1 pixel mapping, focus is pretty easy to get. It's a very sharp monitor and easy to view. For exposure, I find it difficult to read without the help of false color. I may need to do some more calibration with it but I find some areas on the monitor that look slightly over exposed that are actually right around 95-100

Edit: just realized you said without peaking...it's a very sharp monitor so I can get focus even without the "features" that it offers, but I really like the 1:1 function. They've improved the focus assist but I still find it a little weird. I've never liked peaking on most cameras anyway, though.

I have a SmallHD monitor. I use the false colors. I had to add a strip of tape to the left side of the monitor and write on it what levels are represented by what colors. Between the false color and being able to set the zebras where you want, exposure should not be a problem at all.

The false colors exposure guide is really functional. Using Frank Glencairn's Picture profiles, setting black level and knee is really easy with the false colors on the DP6.
