Aren't there adapters you can buy?rawfa said:Wait, so there's no batteries? You have to plug it to charge it? This could be a problem because the voltage is different here (as it is in many other countries outside noth america). This is something I really need to know before getting one of these babies.
guskersthecat said:Yes there are...however the charge unit has auto switching input voltage from 90 to 260V AC, 50 or 60Hz. It's made for world consumption. (Europe, Australia, etc.) Also, because I'm providing an external charge port, you could potentially build yourself a monster lead acid battery at 2.4 volts and run this thing forever like that. Same thing applies if you'd prefer to use your own batteries in an external pack, adapt power from your camera battery (reduced to 2.4V) etc.
Technically, in good light at F1.4, you don't even need the motor running.
So, not to worry guys...a great deal of research has gone into these. I have another surprise for the production model, but I'm keeping that one under my hat.
I posted a clip of some crane/jib tomfoolery with the adapter.

hmmm What do you think of that, Guskers?Virum said:Well...it seems it could definitely work.... That's interesting. I think the Century Optics one is 72 mm, so would I have to get a step-up; step-down ring to put it on the 35mm lenses I have?
I remember reading that focusing can be a problem with the adapter... (don't know why, would being able to adjust the flange distance "fix" this?).
