EVA1: Small Rig eva1 handle to Arri relocator

I also like that it's not offset like Wooden Camera, etc., rather, you can mount the adapter/grip at the point where the rosette is located.

I like SmallRig stuff, it's good quality and much less expensive than most other sources. That said, I have the Wooden Camera relocator, and the "offset", which is actually a short extension, is better. While it's true that the SmallRig doesn't have that extension, which may seem more desirable, it's actually not possible to attach it directly to most rosettes, because it can only be used when the attachment knob enters from the back of the rosette. I have two rosette adapters from my super16 years that fit on 15mm rods (one Arri, and the other Aaton), and both need to screwed on from the front of the rosette on the starboard side.

You are absolutely right: if you wanted to mount this grip/rosette adapter directly to something like a rod clamp/block with rosette mounts, this is not the right solution. Thanks for pointing that out. There is no room inside this adapter to put an M6 screw so it can be attached to a (passive) rosette mount.

If, however, you needed to relocate the grip to the end of an extension arm (which generally have screws at each end), then this SmallRig adapter works great. If using a pair of extension arms on a shoulder rig, again, the lack of the short "offset" arm as on the Wooden Camera version (and others) means that you can set both your right and left grips/handles at the same height/distance. It's also reasonably priced (even at MSRP) vs. the other adapters I've seen. The only thing it lacks is a LANC extension cable.
