Hello all,

Just having some issues with trying to find the best POV camera that will cut nicely to the HVX200. THe camera needs to be say in the $1,000 range. I have been looking at the Canon Hfs100 but since I love panny cameras. I wondered if someone could give me some insight to mixing the AVCHD 24 mbit 1080 30P footage to say 720 24pn or 1080 30p DVCPRO HD footage. These shots are just for inconspicuous stuff like getting cut away shots of indigenous people in say Africa etc... Any takers in this dept... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jim Kinsey

$1000? Canon T1i shoots 1080/20p (a joke) and 720/30p (nicely)... are you looking for new or used? New that's about the best you will get and still fit in a extra batt. and a few memory cards.

No audio inputs just built in mic, but sounds like you just need it for imaging.

You can spring for the GH1 or wait till the hmc40 comes out if you want to stick with panny, both costing you more money...

Thanks for the quick answer. I have been swamped editing all day. I am leaning towards the HF 100 but love the look of the HMC40 it just seems a bit spendy.
