Small Hd 5D Port Protector

I just ordered mine.
My 5d port has already started get a little quirky after a year of use. Sometimes needing a jiggle. wish I'd had one of these from the start. Not sure if it fits the MK3, but they are planning versions for other cameras.

I'll be ordering one too. It's very ingenious. I don't normally use the HDMI out for a monitor unless the camera is up on a crane or pole & otherwise inaccessible but it is all too easy for the mini-HDMI cable to come loose without a widget like this.

If you're MK3 make sure and click their link to add your request that they make one for it.

Don't have any affiliation with them, but I have the DP-6 and some other accessories and every experience I have had with them has been stellar.

So it came yesterday. It's all ABS and much like their screen protector a little wonky to take off and on. Definitely not designed to be left on all the time as it makes accessing the ports difficult. That being said. I have now bent TWO HDMI cables (at the connection) without (knocking on wood) damaging the port itself. So imperfect as it is for $49, very glad I got it and will use for sure.
