small gig test

I've been using this site for awhile but rarely post. I had a dvx for years but I recently got an hvx200a and the xtreme fisheye a few weeks ago. I usually film mostly snowboarding and skateboarding in NH but my friends in MA play a lot of little shows locally so I sometimes film for them. Shot at 720p30pn, no shutter, gain +6.

But I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.

As you can notice right away, I seem to only get vig on the left side when using the fisheye, but barely any on the right. I love having it in all corners, as I coming from a mostly skateboard influenced background. I know I can just zoom in to get rid of all of it all together but I want to keep it. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Also, when using the viewfinder, the image is a lot brighter in the eyepiece then when I actually upload it. So I have to set the iris to appear almost overexposed in the viewfinder so when I upload it, it won't look underexposed (hence setting the gain to +6). Does that make sense to anyone? So how would I get it so it uploads exactly how it appears in the viewfinder?

And, I followed the export/compression settings vimeo suggests for best quality but I feel like it could be more crisp. I set the zoom/focus to Z00 F06 with the fisheye. Anyone have any suggestions? (using FCP 7)

I've tried a few cheap wide angles and the corners never seem quite identical - Are you certain it's proper lens vignetting, because on one of my smaller ones, for 1/3 cameras, the mic windshield was actually the problem, just creeping into the shot top right. I tend to leave it if the other three are ok, and then just do a tiny zoom and pan in the edit.

I've always found the HVX LCD to be a stop or two brighter than the recorded video (probably set for outdoor shooting) . I think the brightness of the LCD is adjustable. Did you use the zebras to expose?

I know the LCD is adjustable and yes, I always use zebras when filming. But I was talking about the brightness of the viewfinder/eyepiece. Not the LCD.
