SLR Magic 25mm T0.95 Lens M43

I agree. I have the Voightlander 25 and the SLR Magic 12mm Hyperprime. The Voightlander build quality is much better. Although I like the 12mm Hyperprime optically, the focus ring is just scratchy. I'm hanging on to it because it's light and works well on the stabilizer but for that money, I'd go with the Voightlander as Steve suggests

I'd love sometime to compare the Voigt 17.5 with a 0.7x wide converter with a 12mm Hyperprime. Just don't have the hyperprime or willingness to buy one.

Haven't used them personally but haven't heard great things. I believe they are rehoused closed circuit camera lenses from Eastern Europe. Phil Bloom did a review on his site of the 50/0.95 (this was before the before the Voightlander came out).

Now I have the Voightlander 25/0.95 as well as several other lenses and it is by far and away my favorite.

Is 25mm a good all around focal length for the AF100? Maybe something more wider such as 17mm? Mainly used for music videos and commercial shoots and interviews. Thanks.

25mm is a standard focal length lens. I have the 7-14mm and this is my second favorite lens. 7mm is rediculously wide (think Terry Gilliam "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" wide. . 14mm is a quite usable as wide angle.

The only other lens I'd love would be a 35mm f0.95 from Voightlander (but they don't make that one yet)

50mm (and longer) start to get into the telephoto area and are too long for my uses and the ones you state as well.

The 25 can do it all. Perfect all around focal length IMHO.

Depends purely on taste. I like the 20/1.7 and the Voigt 17.5, just a little wider than standard.
