Slow zoom/cleaning LCD

1. I'm wondering how to achieve really slow zooms with my DVX. The slowest I've been able to get is the 3rd zoom speed selection on the handle. I need slower than that.

2. I've got some smudges and crap on my LCD screen. How should I go about cleaning it?

1) Go manual. That's the slowest mechanical zoom you can get.

2) Clean it with warm water and a soft cotton cloth.

1. Manual zoom is the only way. Although I haven't tested it yet, you can try this out :

2. Don't make your dog lick it ; just do as David says.

Side-chatting : Have you guys noticed that zoom out at its minimum speed is slower than zoom in ? (talking about servo zoom of course...) I've got an "old" DVX100. Wonder if it's the same on the A version...
