Slow shutter

On the DVX100 you could choose slow shutter speeds of 1/6, 1/8 etc to give you that blurry look. In fact it was a user setting option.

How do you do that with the HVX200? I don't see any slow shutter speeds like that. What setting would give that same blurry look as on the DVX100?

1/12 (in 720/24p mode) and 1/15 are the slowest.

You can get slower shutter speeds by using the frame rate hack to select a slower frame rate, then set the syncro scan shutter to 350.0 degrees. At 2fps, you'll have 1/2 second shutter, at 3fps it's 1/3, at 4fps it's 1/4, etc.

I shot a whole thing in JapanTown in downtown LA mostly at 4 FPS with the 350D shutter. Then played back at around 4 FPS in FCP. Looks nice and smeary, I like the look for some things.
