Slow shutter speed?

Was shooting something with Canon XL2 and noticed that you can get really slow shutter speed with speeds as low as 1/8 of a second? Is that possible with DVX100??

Not a DVX100, but the 100A and 100B have the option.

Remember, though, that any shutter speed slower than the frame rate isn't really a shutter speed; it employs frame doubling.

Yes, i'm aware of this but for very specific effects i need it. How do i make it work on DVX100A or B??

Assign "slow shutter" to one of your user buttons. Then press that button and you should enter slow shutter mode, adjust the slow shutter speed by using the regular shutter speed select button.
