slow shutter speed

Yes,

Using VFR (variable frame rate) in either 24pn or 30pn you can manually tweak the shutter to achieve a longer shutter. This is done by changing the shutter degree, lower number is faster and higher is slower (ie. 360 degrees it the slowest shutter available for the frame rate being used at present). So if the camera is set to do 12fps that means you can set the cameras shutter angle to 350 or so, I don't think it goes all the way to 360, and achieve a shutter of 1/12th of a second.

However, there is a frame rate hack that can be used by loading a scene file from the camera's SD card and tweaking the frame rate to achieve a frame rate of 2fps. A video is available on you tube last time I checked showing in detail how to do this. shooting at 2fps means that is the shutter angle is set to 350 then the shutter speed is essentially 1/2 second! You will be able to get very effective streaking effects and low light exposure.

Hope that helps. Look up "HVX frame rate hack" on youtube to find the video.

The shutter will go to 350 degrees, so you can get a max 35/72 shutter (almost 1/2 sec). If you want something streakier (which you will probably want for traffic) you can do it in post, or use a dSLR camera.

Use the frame rate hack to get 2fps, and set the shutter speed to 350 degrees, and that'll give you 1/2-second exposures and some pretty good light streaks.
